Changelog
Updates and improvements to Unriddle
January 26, 2025
Dark mode, higher usage limits and new marketing pages
Unriddle now includes dark mode support, including the PDF viewer! This means when you switch to dark mode, both the main interface and any PDF documents you’re viewing will adapt to the darker theme. Just click your workspace name in the top left corner, head to Theme, and choose between Light, Dark, or System settings.
We significantly increased our free usage limits. Free users can now use Unriddle for up to 250 words, 5 imports, and 1 audio recording per day. This is a substantial increase from our previous limits of 10 messages and 5 imports per month, giving you more flexibility to try Unriddle without paying. If you hit this limit, we’ll politely ask you to upgrade to a paid plan.
We refreshed our landing page with a new design showcasing our core features more clearly and highlighting some of our latest updates to the platform. We also launched this Changelog page to keep you updated on new features, improvements, and fixes to Unriddle. Plus, we added a new FAQ page that answers our most commonly asked questions.
Improvements
- After importing a file, you’ll now automatically be redirected to that file. If you’re importing multiple items at once, we'll take you to the one that loads first
- We improved Claude's formatting of lists and other markdown elements to make them cleaner and more organized
- When you share an Unriddle link, your file's title now appears in a nice preview card on social media and messaging apps
- We no longer display imported websites in their original form. Instead, we extract and display the text content only. This change addresses issues with popups, paywalls, and other disruptive elements that were appearing on imported sites
- If you're already logged in and visit unriddle.ai, you'll now automatically be redirected to the app homepage instead of our landing page. That's one less click to getting things done
- Significantly improved the quality of summaries that automatically appear next to imported files
Fixes
- Fixed a bug that caused the account menu in the top left corner to flicker when clicked
- Fixed a bug where clicking 'Delete' with multiple items selected would only delete the item whose menu was expanded Now clicking delete removes all selected items
- Fixed a bug where selecting text and clicking the "Chat" button in the text editor failed to add the selected text to the chat
- Fixed a bug where some PDFs imported using the unriddle.ai/ URL prefix were not displaying properly

Introducing Record and Chat with Audio
We added a brand new Unriddle file type and section of our app - record and chat with audio. Just hit record, and we'll transcribe everything that's said. You can ask questions to clarify anything mentioned during recording or get a conversation summary after recording. You can even ask questions while the recording is still in progress.
We've completely revamped how AI actions work when you have a note open alongside a document or video. Previously, AI generations worked independently of the content you were viewing. Now, they're created with full context of what you're looking at. For example, if you're reading a paper on quantum computing, you can generate notes about specific sections and concepts directly from that paper.

Rebuilt the PDF viewer from the ground up for significantly improved performance and reduced resource usage. This includes a new keyword search interface with much improved results highlighting.
